Session Recording

What is Session Recording?

The term “Recording Session” dates back to the early 1900’s when Dame Nellie Melba recorded sessions on a wax drum. Time spent in a studio is known as a recording session, recording sessions involve a considerable amount of work to be carried out by the Music Producer to obtain the sound you want.
Recording sessions require various professional pieces of equipment including instruments, microphones, preamps and much more which are all critical to a sessions success.
